Important Notice about the Digital Television Transition

On February 17, 2009, all full-power television stations will complete the transition to 100% digital broadcasting (“DTV transition”). After that date, television sets with analog tuners using an antenna to receive over-the-air broadcast signals will require set-top converter boxes in order to receive over-the-air broadcasting. Analog-only TVs should continue to work as before to receive low power, Class A or translator television stations, and with satellite and cable TV services, gaming consoles, VCRs, DVD players, and similar products.

Because S&T has already completed the DTV transition, there will be no further impact on S&T subscribers. Analog television sets not connected to S&T service may need additional equipment (i.e. an S&T converter box) or may have to be replaced in order to receive over-the-air broadcast signals.

More information about the DTV transition is available at www.dtv.gov or at www.mytv.volcanovision.com.

For households wishing to continue using their analog TV sets with an antenna, there is a TV Converter Box Coupon Program. For more information about this program, call 1-888-DTV-2009 or visit www.dtv2009.gov.
